Crisler Arena Rules
To ensure the safety of all patrons and guests, Crisler Arena has created the following code of conduct and policy guidelines. Please review and follow the rules and policies below as failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund.

Accessibility Policy
Crisler Arena is proud to offer the following accommodations.
- Accessible Parking is available at various locations depending on the event.
- Men’s Basketball convenience parking is located on the football stadium concourse and will be accessed through Gate 9 of Michigan Stadium (along Keech Ave.).
- Guests parking inside the stadium concourse can enter through the Southwest entrance of Crisler Center.
- Only persons with a convenience parking permit OR $10 AND a state-issued disability placard will be allowed to access this parking lot.
- Women’s Basketball/Gymnastics parking is available for patrons with a disability outside the Northeast entrance of Crisler Center on a first-come, first-served basis. It can be accessed from Green Street and Stadium Boulevard.
- Men’s Basketball convenience parking is located on the football stadium concourse and will be accessed through Gate 9 of Michigan Stadium (along Keech Ave.).
- ADA Accessible gates are located at the Southwest and Northeast entrances of The Crisler Center.
- The Elevator in the Northeast entrance may be used to access all areas of the arena.
- The Crisler Center concourse is fully accessible. If guests need assistance to/from different areas please contact the nearest Event Staff Team Member for help.
- All restrooms inside Crisler Center are accessible. Court level restrooms are available in the North & Blavin Tunnels. Event Staff can provide access.

Arrival Policy
Games and events start promptly at the time listed on your ticket. For certain events, latecomers may have to wait in the lobby before being admitted. These shows will be detailed in the program guide.
Bag Policy
Northwestern has instituted a clear bag policy for game day. Approved bags must be either clear bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, one-gallon clear plastic bags or small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”.
All bags (camera bags, purses, backpacks, etc) are subject to search upon entering Crisler Arena.
Please have your bag ready for search before entering entrance doors to accelerate the process.
Camera Policy
Cameras are not allowed in the theatre without prior written consent. If a specific show or event allows cameras, then it will be detailed in the event or program guide.
Cancellation Policy
If an event is canceled due to inclement weather or cancellation, ticket holders will be informed as soon as possible through media and the website. Please contact the venue at (866) 296-MTIX to ask about refunds or postponements.
Cell Phones, PDAs, Pagers, and Alarms Policy
Please disable or turn off all electronic devices that may generate audio or light upon entry to the theatre.
Children Ticketing Policy
Michigan follows the Big Ten policy of requiring a ticket for everyone to football, men’s basketball, and ice hockey regardless of age including infants being carried and/or in the back or front packs.
Children age five and under will be admitted free to the following U-M athletic home events:
- baseball
- softball
- women’s basketball
- volleyball
- wrestling
- men’s and women’s soccer
- women’s gymnastics
Ticket policies for select events (including NCAA and Big Ten tournaments) are subject to change.
Dress Code Policy
There is no official dress code. Dress for comfort and dress to match the spirit of the event!
Food and Beverage Policy
Outside food and beverages are not allowed within Crisler Arena. You can purchase refreshments from the concessions stands around the arena.
Lost and Found
Lost something during the show? Ask event staff during the show for help with finding the lost and found station. After the show please call the lost and found office at (866) 296-MTIX. Be prepared to leave your full contact information and detailed information about the lost item(s).
Crisler Arena does not claim responsibility for lost or missing items.
Prohibited Items
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment the following items are prohibited from being brought into the arenas for intercollegiate athletic contests:
- Oversized bags (anything that cannot fit comfortably under your seat)
- Containers of any kind (including coolers, thermoses, cups, bottles, cans, flasks)
- Aerosol and Spray Cans
- Animals (except service animals for persons with a disability)
- Flags with Flagpoles
- Food of any kind
- Alcoholic Beverages
- Apparel or signage displaying profane or abusive language
- Cameras with a lens longer than 6 inches
- Noisemakers (including but not limited to whistles, air horns, boom boxes, bull horns, kazoos, sirens, thunder sticks, vuvuzelas, etc.)
- Strollers
- Video Camera, tripods and selfie sticks
- Weapons
- Seat cushions with backs/arms

Smoking Policy
Smoking, including cigarettes, vapes, cigars, or other smoking paraphernalia is not allowed within the venue or its surrounding facility.
The Three Big Rules
n order to keep the arena a safe environment for all, the venue reminds you about three key stipulations of the University of Michigan Ordinance of the Board of Regents:
- Alcohol, possession and/or consumption, is prohibited at all athletic events inside the arena.
- No person shall throw, project, or drop any projectile or object that could cause injury in the spectator or playing surface.
- Unauthorized entry onto the playing surface before, during, or after the game is prohibited.
